Consumer Research Survey Sites

There's hundreds of survey companies out there, maybe thousands, and most are a huge waste of time. After trying out most of them these are the best I've found. I wouldn't call doing surveys a living, but it's a good, easy way to bring in some extra income. These are all 100% free!

Opinion Outpost

The best one, in my opinion. They're very good at matching you to surveys so you'll qualify for the vast majority that you're invited to participate in. The pay varies survey to survey, the least I've ever seen being $1.50 and the most $10.00. Average compensation is usually about $4.00. You're free to choose the ones you want and decline the ones you don't. Frequency of surveys offered varies, sometimes you'll get as few as 2-3 offers a week, other times it might be 2-3 a day. You can cash-out anytime you have a minimum of $5.00 in your account and they'll send a check. They say to allow 4-6 weeks to receive payment but I've always received mine in about 2-3 weeks.

HCD Surveys

This site offers some of the most interesting surveys anywhere, some of which only involve watching videos of current events in the news, sports, politics and commercials, and expressing your opinions. Then there's also the usual kind of surveys, too. The pay varies: some only pay as little as 50 cents but only take 5 minutes, while most pay $2.00-$3.00, and there's the occasional ones paying $5.00 or more. Sometimes you might get offered 2 a day, and other times there might only be 2 a week or so. Pay is sent out monthly so you need to cash-out by the last day of the month, $10.00 minimum, and you'll receive a check within 2-5 weeks. They say to allow 4-8 weeks for processing but it's never taken that long for me.

ACOP

American Consumer Opinion Panel. They don't send a lot of survey offers, maybe 1-2 a week to 1-2 a month, but the very minimum pay per survey is $4.00 while some can pay as much as $15.00. Then it usually takes 2 days for your account to be credited, and then you can cash-out. No minimum. You can choose payment by PayPal which takes about 2 days to process, or by check which takes about 7-10 days to receive payment.

Survey Savvy

https://www.surveysavvy.com?id=3172473&action=join
This site usually offers abut 3-5 survey opportunities a week that generally range in pay from $1.00-$5.00 each. They also offer a unique way to earn more money that I've never seen anything quite like it on any other site. You can refer other members and you'll receive an average of $2.00 for each survey that they complete, and for every member that your referral refers you'll receive an average of $1.00. This is an International site so there's a huge pool of referrals to draw from. There's no minimum to cash-out and you can request a check anytime and receive it in about 4 weeks.

Mindfield Online

Most of the surveys offered here are in the $2 range, with the occasional $1.00 survey or a $5.00 survey, and sometimes opportunities come along to participate in panel groups where the pay can go higher. They say to allow 4-6 weeks after each survey before the pay is credited to your account, but it never takes anywhere near that long- usually credits within the week. Then you can cash-out anytime you have a minimum of $10.00 in your account, and you'll receive a check in about 4 weeks. It takes a while to get the first check but then once that first month is behind you the checks roll in on a regular basis.

My Survey

This site doesn't pay much per survey, some only 20-30 cents each, but they offer lots of them and they're short and fast. They'll also give bonus points frequently, and sometimes offer a survey with higher pay. So, all told, it's not very much trouble to reach the $10.00 minimum required to cash-out, which they pay by check. They also have sweepstakes drawings(which I've never won, but I guess there's always a chance), and they pay $1.50 each for referrals if that's appealing to you.
